A Canadian Forces veteran, Michael is a NACE Level 3 / AMPP Senior Certified Coatings Inspector with specialized expertise in marine coatings, shipbuilding standards, and advanced protective systems. His experience spans global projects and industry-leading training programs. Michael also serves as Trade Class Director for Painters/Glaziers with the CLRA, representing the trade within Atlantic Canada’s construction industry.

His background includes work in shipping, refineries, wastewater facilities, pulp and paper, and lumber operations, giving him a broad understanding of coating applications, surface preparation, and the practical requirements of complex industrial projects.

He combines extensive hands-on industry knowledge with expertise in project management, quality control, protective coatings and linings, and operational leadership. His background also includes service in the Canadian Navy, contributing to the disciplined, safety-focused approach he brings to complex industrial projects and client relationships.

In his role with FASTEC, Alexander combines his technical and operational experience with business development and client relationship management, supporting projects and customers throughout New Brunswick.
